Mary Loretta Kennedy (August 6, 1892 - November 18, 1972) was the third born child (of four) to P. J. Kennedy and Mary Augusta Hickey. She was the aunt of American politicians John Fitzgerald Kennedy, Robert Francis Kennedy and Edward Moore Kennedy. She was christened in East Boston on August 18, 1892.

Her older brother, Joseph Patrick Kennedy, was five years old when Mary was born. She was born almost a month after her other older brother, Francis Benedict Kennedy, died. Francis died at the age of one on June 14, 1892. Her younger sister, Margareta Louise Kennedy, would be born six years after Mary. Mary was raised in East Boston with Joe. Her father, P.J., was a politician in Boston. He was in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1885-1889. He was then in the Massachusetts State Senate from 1889-1895.
On October 12, 1927, Mary married George William Connelly (June 10, 1898-August 29, 1971) in Winthrop, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. They had one child:
